FLYING-BOAT SURVEY

GUBA IN THE SEYCHELLES. SUITABLE BASES LOCATED. By Telegraph—Press Association— Copyright. MAKE (Seychelles), June 16. The flying-boat Guba arrived at 12.50 p.m., local time. All on board are well. A survey made yesterday of the lagoon in Diego Garcia, showed it to be of great value as a flying-boat base, members of the personnel of the fly-ing-boat Guba stated today. Diego Garcia also has an area suitable for an aerodrome. As the first two Indian Ocean island bases which have already been surveyed are very suitable for the establishment of flying-boat bases it now only remains to make a flight of inspection of the Seychelles Islands. The Guba leaves at midnight tomorrow for Mahe.
