NF.W SECTION OF FOREIGN OFFICE LORD PERTH IN CHARGE. MINISTRY OF INFORMATION IN EVENT OF WAR. (British Official Wireless.) (Received This Day, 12.47 p.m.) ' RUGBY, June 15. A statement that it is not the Government's intention to establish a Ministry of Information or Propaganda, as in the Government’s opinion ?t is not required at present, was made by the Prime Minister (Mr Chamberlain) in the House of Commons. He said, however, that it had been decided to establish a new Department under the name of the Foreign Publicity Department of the Foreign Office. It would be under the general supervision of Lord Perth. The Premier added that in the event of war, a Ministry of Information would immediately be appointed. Necessary plans for this were well under way.
