HAS A MIND OF HER OWN

ELOPEMENT TALK. DEANNA DURBIN AND HER BOY. Frightened by rumours that her daughter intended to elope with Vaughan Paul, a young man who works at Universal studios, Deanna Durbin s mother has forbidden Deanna to see him again. But Deanna, who is now 17, has a mind of her own, and she continues to see her boy friend at the studio each day. Friends are willing to bet that just as soon as she turns 18 in December Deanna will elope, and that parental opposition will only make her the more determined. She has a trust fund of 200,000 dollars, and no doubt will marry whom she pleases when she is of age. It seems only yesterday that Deanna was a little girl, and now she is talking of eloping.
