WIDE EXAMINATION IN BRITAIN. MR MALCOLM MACDONALD’S' TASK. (British Official Wireless.) RUGBY,-June 12. The Prime Minister, Mr Chamberlain, in answer to a question in the House of Commons today, stated that the Colonial Secretary, Mr Malcolm MacDonald, had been for some time engaged on a comprehensive examination of the whole machinery for framing and carrying out Britain’s colonial policy in order to determine what alterations were necessary. The possibility of bringing Parliament into closer and more regular contact with the affairs of the colonies had not be lost sight of, but he was not in a position to make a statement about it until the Government completed its consideration of the problem as a whole, Mr Chamberlain added.
