MR NASH IN LONDON

The New Zealand Finance Minister. Mr W. Nash, is at present countering a barrage of protestations from British manufacturers in respect of import restrictions, including national federations of radio, boot, shoe, woollen, glass, linoleum and hosiery manufacturers. with whom he is in close-con-sultation, each one presenting a case in favour of more of its particular products being admitted to New Zealand. Mr Nash is also engaged in conversations with the heads of banking, insurance and shipping interests. He conferred with Sir John Reith, Chairman of Imperial Airways, in respect to the trans-Tasman air service. Forthcoming' engagements include an address to the. London Chamber of Commerce on June 16 and a visit to the Imperial Defence College on June 15.
