TOWNSWOMEN’S GUILD
COMPETITION RESULTS. ADDRESS BY MISS SPENCER. The president, Mrs W. 11. Judd, presided over the monthly meeting of the Masterton Townswomen's Guild held in the Y.M.C.A. Hall yesterday afternoon. Two new members were welcomed. The roll call “A Humorous Story” caused much amusement. The Drama Circle gave a play reading, Mesdames Douglas, Brown, Parsons, Copp and Snowsill taking part. Competitions held resulted as follows: —Frock made from New Zealand wool: Mesdames Neilson, 1; Morris, 2. Batch of scones: Mrs Snowsill, 1; .Mrs Morris, 2; Mrs L. P. Morris. 3. A buffet afternoon tea was served, after which Miss Jerome Spencer, 0.8. E., president of the Dominion Federation of Townswomen’s Guilds, addressed those present. A hearty vote of thanks to Miss Spencer and the singing of the Gde brought a successful meeting to a close.
