KNITTED GARMENTS

LEATHER INTRODUCED. Leather is again being introduced into knitted garments; but the smooth velvety kinds of suede (and duvetine imitations) are being replaced by rough grained leather. Light yellow pigskin forms the front part of sports cardigans in brown boudhoo; black knitted models have fronts in sharkskin of the same colour. The front of billiardgreen models is in wine-red leather with a wide knitted stripe in the middle harmonising with the material of the sleeve and back; the effect is that of an open bolero.
