In the House of Commons, Mr R. A. Butler (Under-Secretary for Foreign Affairs) said the Italian and German representatives on the Non-Interven-tion Committee never indicated to the committee the information now divulged, concerning intervention in Spain, by Herr Hitler and Signor Mussolini. The British Government was well aware that intervention was occurring and investigated every fact presented to it.
