The results of the second round of the Wairarapa Badminton Association’s inter-club competitions, with one D grade match not yet played are given below: — RESULTS AT A GLANCE. A Grade. Masterton A 11, Martinborough 1. Masterton B 6 (15), Nomads 6 (10 sets). B Grade. St Matthews A 11, Regent 1. Methodist A 10, St Matthews B 2. Red Star 10, Hugos 2. Martinborough beat Nomads B by default. A Grade. MASTERTON B v NOMADS. Masterton B defeated Nomads by the rather narrow margin of 6 matches 15 sets to '6 matches 10 sets, after some particularly closely contested games. The Masterton players were not up to their usual form, as the scores indicate. Details are, Masterton players being mentioned first in each instance:— Men’s doubles: J. J. St. Matthew’s continued their winning way by defeating Regent by 11 matches to 1. The games wore very interesting indeed, being far more even than the scores would indicate, with the exception of the ladies’ doubles, St. Matthew’s having two experienced pairs.
