MASTERTON CLUB. TRAINING RUN WON BY 11. CARLE. Members of the Masterton Harrier who did not make the trip to Dannevirke on Saturday, held a thoroughly enjoyable training run, under the leadership of the Club Captain, R. Gully over a distance of five miles, the trail went over the Allen Memorial bridge, through Mawley Park, along the Waipoua river bank, across to Oxford Street, up the Oxford Street hillside, around to the railway line, down the line, across paddocks towards Akura, back past the butter factory, down to the Waipoua river banks again, and over the Allan bridge and around the oval. A run in over the last half-mile resulted in H. Carle leading from D. Cairns with C. J. Carle close behind.
The outing proved very beneficial to the runners.
