LEAGUE OF NATIONS
MASTERTON BRANCH MEETS. WELLINGTON DELEGATES APPOINTED. A meeting of the Masterton League of Nations Union was held last night —Mrs T. R. Barrel - being in the chair. Letters were read and received and accounts passed for payment. It was decided to accept an invitation from the Peace Pledge Union tc hold a debate on a date to be arranged It was decided to hold a jumble sale on June 23 at the Occidental Auction Mart, for the purpose of raising funds for refugee children of whom the Masterton branch has charge. It was resolved that the Rev E. O. Blamires be asked to represent the New Zealand League of Nations Union at the Amsterdam Christian Youth Congress. It was decided that an International Youth Conference should be arranged either early in August or in September.
The meeting arranged that Mrs Nellie Miller, Miss M. Barrel- and Mrs Engstrom should attend a meeting to be held in Wellington on June 29.
