MRS M. REYNOLDS CELEBRATES BIRTHDAY UP AT EIGHT O’CLOCK THIS MORNING. STILL LEADING ACTIVE LIFE. Up at 8 o’clock this morning was the way in which Mrs M. Reynolds, of Renall Street, Masterton, commehccd the celebration of her 101st birthday. Still active and taking quite a keen
interest in present' day affairs, Mrs Reynolds enjoyed today’s celebration. She carries her age remarkably well and her charming personality endears her to all who know her. Many messages of congratulation were received by Mrs Reynolds today, from friends far and near. Mrs Reynolds, although she is somewhat hard of hearing, possesses remarkably good eyesight and continues her sewing and knitting. Her many donations to the Plunket Society for those in need bear witness to her generous nature and fine spirit. She is a great believer in fresh air and sunshine and in consequence makes full use of her sun-porch, and enjoys a daily car ride with her daughter, She has been a resident of the Wairarapa since 1864.
