BULLDOG DRUMMOND. The efforts of a powerful international spy ring to steal the plans of a mysterious radio wave disintegrator, England’s greatest military secret, starts a vicious diplomatic intrigue, involving several important European Powers, causes the kidnapping of the head of Scotland Yard and brings “Bulldog Drummond,” the famed amateur datective, face to face with the most exciting adventure of his career in “Bulldog Drummond in Africa,” which will be shown tonight at the Cosy Theatre. Led by J. Carrol Naish, the international' spies kidnap “Colonel Nielson” of Scotland Yard, played by H. B. Warner, when all their efforts to learn the precious secret fail. After murdering Warner’s bodyguard, they carry him off to intrigue-ridden Morocco, where they have a stronghold in the desert. Here they plan either to pry the secret loose from him by means of slow torture or to kill him as a last act of revenge. Although forbidden by Scotland Yard to leave England, John Howard, again cast as the famed sleuth, steals his aeroplane right from under the noses of the guards and flies to Morocco to rescue his best friend. A grand musical, filled with hit tunes, beautiful girls and rollicking humour! That’s the new Paramount musical, “This Way Please,” the second attraction on the programme. A trio of big radio names are in the cast: i Mary Livingstone, Jack Benny’s Mary, , in her first picture; and Fibber McGee i and Molly, also making their first i screen appearance. The popular Char- < les “Buddy” Rogers and winsome Betty ( Grable furnish the heart interest, aid- i ed by Lee Bowman. (
