STEAMER FOTINI CARRAS ON REEF. IN DANGER OF SINKING. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright. (Received This Day, 10.25 a.m.) BRISBANE, This Day. The latest message from the steamer Fotini Carras stated that the vessel was rolling on the reef. All her forward tanks and holds, with the bunkers and engine room, were full of water. An S.O.S. was heard asking for assistance from all ships in the vicinity. Later the master advised that the vessel was going down by the head and that the situation was very dangerous. A message from Brisbane yesterday reported that the steamer Fotini Carras, of 446 tons, bound from New Caledonia to Bowen, struck the South Bellona Reef, 250 miles from New Caledonia.
