OBITUARY
MR CHARLES W. RATTRAY. (By.Telegraph—Press Association.) DUNEDIN. This Day. The death Has occurred of Mr Charles W. Rattray, aged 76. managing director of Rattray and Son and a director of the Union Company and other leading businesses. Mr Rattray was a foundation member of the Carisbrook Cricket Club and represented Otago on many occasions. He was also a representative footballer. He is survived by his wife and a son. Neill, of Waimate, and a daughter, Mrs Bush, of Parnassus. MR MAX HEIMANN. Wellington, This Day. In the sudden death last night of Mr Max Heimann, the Jewish community in Wellington, of which he was*"president, loses one of its most esteemed members. He gave his services unsparingly to every Jewish communal effort and was also prominent in the wider sphere of city life, and a member of the Masonic fraternity. Born in Galicia 44 years ago, he was for a number of years fruit farming in Hawke’s Bay. hi recent years he had been a draper herb. He leaves a wife and four sons.
