CRASH IN CANADIAN ROCKIES MACHINES CAUGHT IN FOG. PARACHUTE FAILS TO OPEN. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright. (Received This Day, 12.5 p.m.) VANCOUVER, June 3. Flying-Officer Thomas Fraser, formerly a member of the Royal Air Force in India, was killed when four Canadian Royal Air Force Hurricane Hawkers, proceeding to Calgary from Vancouver, ran into a fog over the Rocky Mountains. Mr Fraser’s parachute failed to open when he jumped out from 500 feet, as his machine plunged into a meadow.
