SAVAGE ATTACK

MOTOR SALESMAN BADLY INJURED. AN UNEXPLAINED OUTRAGE (By Telegraph—Press -Association.) AUCKLAND, June 7. Attacked by two men who entered a garage in Farrar Street, of Richmond Road, at 11.30 last night, George A. North, salesman, aged 34, was battered about the head, and left lying in the garage, which his assailants locked. Mr North eventually forced the doors open and went to a nearby motorist for assistance. After being attended to by a doctor he was taken to hospital. His condition is serious. The affair is a complete mystery, Mr North had in his pockets a total of £25 in money, and this was not taken by his assailants.
