WORKMEN’S FRIEND No. 2. MEETING OF DIRECTORS. The monthly meeting of the directors of the vvorkmen’s Friend No. 2 Building Society was held last night, Mr. W. Kemp, vice-chairman, presiding, there being also present Messrs. A. V. Dixon. E. H. Morton, C. W. Walker, T. Braggins, A. E. Hubbard and E. J. Brown. Leave of absence was granted to Mr. Hunn. The finance report was received and correspondence dealt with. A member applied for permission to place an appropriation on fixed deposit with the bank for a term, which was granted, and another member requested permission for the investment of his appropriation in Government stock, which was also granted. The secretary reported the completion of mortgage securing an appropriation. An extraordinary general meeting was also held for the appropriation of £4OO by sale, the highest tender being, accepted, realising £BO for the £4OO.
