NEVER WORN WEDDING RING
THOUGH MARRIED IN REAL LIFE. EXPERIENCE OF BETTE DAVIS. Bette Davis, although married and now divorced in real life and married many times for screen purposes, has never worn a wedding dress. Her real marriage was’ an elopement. But in the “Old Maid,” her next picture, she will wear a wedding gown, and the studio is really spreading itself for the occasion. The dress, to be designed by Orry-Kelly. famous Australian designer, will cost 3,000 dollars for the lace alone. Eut she will treasure the underskirt she will wear much more than the dress. It has been handed down from generation to generation.' Her grandmother wore it at her wedding, and her mother at hers. Bette is frankly thrilled by the thoughts of a beautiful wedding gown. Since her divorce Bette and George Brent have been inseparable.
