Officials at Windsor accepted Detroit's offer to supply detectives, who will mingle with the crowd. This is the first time in the history of the United States that American police have guarded a British monarch. The railway track near Windsor was ripped up when the engine of a goods train was derailed, but an emergency squad worked feverishly for four hours and completed repairs in time to permit the passage of the Royal train.
