APPOINTED IN FRANCE ACTION BY CABINET. ADDITIONAL CREDITS VOTED. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright. (Received This Day, 10.30 a.m.) PARIS, June 6. Cabinet met with President Lebrun presiding, and appointed General Gamelin General-in-Chief of the armed forces, with the title of Marshal. RearAdmiral Darlan was appointed Admiral of France, in full command of the navy and General Vuillemin Air Marshall. Cabinet approved decrees bringing Havre and Bordeaux under military control in the event of an emergency and providing for stricter control over the mercantile marine. Credits were voted to build up additional war reserves. Marshal Garnelin arrived in England on a four days’ visit..
