Mrs J. Elwin, of Makomako, is on a visit to friends in Carterton. A Pahiatua visitor to Masterton is Miss J. Gardiner. Mr and Mrs Alan Hornblow, of Wellington, are visitors to Masterton. Miss A. M. Palmer, of the Education Department, Wellington, spent the weekend in Masterton.
Misses Gwen and Mary Pither. of Lansdowne, are visiting New Plymouth. Mr and Mrs Max Maddison, of Hastings, are the guests of Mr and Mrs A. Haigh, Greytown. Miss M. Tinkham, Pahiatua Plunket Nurse, left on Saturday on a month’s holiday. Miss May Newman, who has been an inmate of the Masterton Hospital, has returned to her home in Pahiatua. Mr. and Mrs. Eric Riddiford are the guests of their Excellencies the Gov-ernor-General and Lady Galway at Government House. Auckland. Miss Beth Chamberlain, of Hastings, and Miss Elsie Chamberlain, of Wellington, are spending a holiday with their parents, Mr and Mrs T. Chamberlain, Pownall Street; Masterton.
