MARTHA RESULTS. The following information has been cabled to the London office of the Martha Gold Mining Company (Waihi). Ltd.:— No. 3 level. K. branch lode: At 81fi. east of the Lovett South crosscut a crosscut was driven south-west, and at 18ft. it intersected a mixture of quartz and country Ift. wide. The assay value is 20s 3d a ton. We have commenced driving east on this. No. 4 level, I lode: Driving east the next 19ft. assays 16s 6d a ton. Driving west the next 20ft. assays 16s a ton. These values are based on a stopping width of 4ft. The vein in each direction is small and of good value, but will not pay to stope. No. 5 level, north branch of Martha lode: The drive west of the 800 ft. crosscut was extended a total of 280 ft. At 233 ft. met disturbed country. Winze at 260 ft. connected to rise and first lift, was through disturbed country and next 4ft. is reef.
