FEILDING sale. PRICES FAIRLY STEADY. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) FEILDING, June 2. Prices were fairly steady at the Feilding stock sale which was held today, the demand being quite firm for good quality stock. There was a heavy entry of fat sheep. Though wether values were inclined to be a little easier, the sale for etves was keeh. In the store sheep pens some good lines of young ewes and well-grown lambs sold readily. For store cattle the market was slow. Beef, of which there was some well finished lots offering, showed no change in prices. Quotations are: — Sheep: Lambs, prime sorts, 16s to 17s Gd; medium, 14s Gd to 15s 7d; lightest, 10s to 13s 9d; prime b.f. two-tooths, 17s; others, 15s to 12s sd; prime wethers, 18s to i9i Gd; lighter prime, 16s 4d to 17s 8d; unfinished, 14s to 16s; prime ewes, 10s to 12s Gd; medium prime, 9s to 10s Gd; unfinished, 4s 7d to 8s Id; best ewe lambs, 18s 9d to 19s 7d; small, lOs 9d; good two-tooth ewes, 26s 9d to 28s Gd; second quality, 25s 2d to 26s sd; culls, 10s; good wether lambs, 10s 9d to 12s; smaller, 7’s Id to 8s 6d; culls, 5s Gd to 6s 9d; b.f. lambs, best, 12s Id; others, 6s lOd to 8s Id; five and six-year ewes r.w. S.D. rams, 7s lOd to 8s 7d; four and five-year, 14s Id; six-tooths to fiveyear, 16s 6d; two-tooth wethers, 9s to Ils. MARTINBOROUGH SALE. IMPROVEMENT IN PRICES. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agehhy Co., Ltd., report that at their Martinborough sale they had a fair yarding of sheep which \Vere submitted to a good attendance of local farmers. Bidding at auction was better than'recent sales and they had a total clearance at auction at prices showing a slight imbroveineht. Values were as follows:— Medium woolly wether lambs, 7s 9d to 8s 4d; small shorn ewe lambs, 9s to 7s 3d; small Wether lambs, 4s 3d, 4s Bd, 5s 3d, 5s 7d to 6s; cull lambs, 3s Id. ’ SALE AT CARTERTON. BUOYANT BIDDING. Messrs Wright Stephenson and Co., Ltd., report as follows oh their Carterton sale: —There was a fait- attendance at yesterday’s sale. Sheep sold better, their being more buoyant bidding. Cattle made late rates, while pigs sold freely arid shotved ah improveinOrit on late rates. Suhdries, etc., made good values.
