Bradford officials stated today that the British Government intends to buy J,000,0001b of tops of 50 quality from the British Empire to expedite the manufacture of uniforms. This will be the first direct buying from partly manufactured wool. The value of the deal will be nearly a quarter of a million sterling and the transaction is substantial but not sensational.
