POLLED HEREFORDS
POPULARITY IN AMERICA. The American Polled Hereford breeders enjoyed a record year in 1937. In the first 11 months a total of 6938 head of cattle was registered —a gain of 40 per cent over the previous year. Trade in Polled Herfords has ben unusually active and improved by 38 per cent on the previous year. About 1900 American cattlemen, it is claimed, used Polled Herefords for the first time in 1938.
