CIVIL SITTING. Judgment by default was given by Mr H. P. Lawry, S.M., in the following civil cases in the Masterton S.M. Court yesterday: — Frank McKellar v. William C. L. Cadwallader £5 3s 6d, costs £1 10s 6d; J. C. Ewington v. S. G. Wyatt £3, costs £1 3s 6d; Hugo and Shearer Ltd. v. M. Moran £4 0s 6d, costs £1 7s; Norman Ralph Jones v. Norman A. Carswell £3 13s, costs £1 8s 6d; G. Malmo Ltd. v. D. Thompson £ll 17s 6d, costs £3 Is. In judgment summons cases Charles Gartner was ordered to pay John W. Thornton £l2 Is, costs £1 Is, in default 12 days’ imprisonment in Wellington prison. T. P. O’Neill was ordered to pay T. T. Redman £8 17s, costs 15s 6d, in default 9 days’ imprisonment. William Martin Thomas was ordered to pay the Masterton County Council £l3 3s 6d, with costs £1 Is, in default 14 days’ imprisonment.
