GAME OF CHESS

REVIVAL IN MASTERTON. PROPOSAL TO START ACTIVITIES. With the object of reviving the Masterton Chess Club, those interested and who are willing to become active supporters are requested to hand in their names to Mr A. E. Clemas, so that early steps can be taken to start activities. The assistance of all previous club members is specially solicited. New players will be cordially welcomed. Every assistance will be extended to those desirous of improving their play and opportunities will be taken to examine and discuss recognised openings and endings and the latest rules of strategy. If the Club is re-established, local and interclub tournaments will be conducted with special attention given to the social side of the programme.
