SUBSCRIBED IN FULL

GOVERNMENT INTERNAL LOAN STATEMENT BY PREMIER. DETAILS TO BE GIVEN IN DAY OR TWO. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, May 31. The £4,500,000 loan floated by the Government has been fully subscribed. An announcement of the success of the flotation was made this evening by the Prime Minister, Mr Savage. He received a brief message from the Governor of the Reserve Bank to the effect that a full subscription had been made. The Prime Minister was unable to give full details of the reception of the loan by investors, “because,” he explained, “the issue had closed only this day an hour or so ago.” “It might be a day or two before details are available,” said Mr Savage. “and a further statement will be made then.”
