KIATERE HARRIER CLUB
NOVICES’ RACE. The Kiatere Club intends to hold its annual Novices’ race on Saturday next starting from the Showgrounds at 2.30 p.m. Although only three entries are expected for this event, it should prove one of the most interesting races of the .season. All novices have taken their training very seriously since the opening of the season, and with the holding of the Novice Cup for the coming year' by the winner, as an added incentive, a hard-fought race is expected. The trail on Saturday will be of one lap of 3 1-8 miles. The remaining seniors will take part in a 6| mile friendly run in preparation for the Dannevirke trip next week, and for the juniors there will be a training run of about 3 miles.
