COURSING

* EVENTS ON SATURDAY. Nominations are coming in freely for the two stakes to be decided at the Wairarapa Coursing Club’s meeting on Saturday and competition should be even, as all dogs are being well trained. The* ties will be closely contested. The Puppy Stake will have the greater number of entries with two promising young dogs sired by the well-known track and plumpton dog. Rereatu. It will be of interest to see if either show the sterling promise of their sire. The Trump is another bright prospect for the event. As he is a powerfully built dog. he should run well, while Mr W. L. Jensen, of Carterton, has a young dog which is reported to be fit and well. Mr W. L. Jones has two nominations that should perform well. Flying Joe in particular appears to have plenty of. speed.
