GOLF COMPETITION DRAW FOR MEDAL ROUND. (“Times-Age” Special.) BOY SCOUTS WEEKLY CARD PARTY. The weekly card party in connection with the Boy Scouts Movement was held last evening. There was a’ good attendance of players and the prizes were won as under: Ladies, Mrs. W. Ticehurst 1, Mrs Meyrick 2; men, Mrs Williams (acting) 1, Mr. K. Hodder 2. Supper was afterwards provided. Church Service. A Church of England service will be held at Ponatahi on Sunday next at 2 p.m. and will be conducted by the Rev. W. F. Stent. Mushrooms Plentiful. The present mild rain has been the means of encouraging mushroom growth in many places in the district and at present mushrooms are plentiful. .Vital Statistics. The vital statistics for Carterton for May are: Births, 9; marriages, 3; deaths 3. Personal. Lieutenant McDonald, of the Salvation Army, has been transferred from the local corps to Palmerston South. His place has ben taken by Lieutenant Samson, of Te Kuiti.
