RADIO IN FRANCE
There are 4,887.684 wireless receiving sets in France, or at least that is the number on which lhe listener's tax was paid up to February, 1939. This is an increase of more than 10.000 over last year’s figures. The annual licence in France costs 50 francs, about 5s 6d. License taxdodgers when caught have to pay five times the normal tax.
