DEMAND REJECTED
POLAND NOT DISMISSING OFFICIALS. INVOLVED IN GRUEENER INCIDENT. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) (Received This Day, 9.50 a.m.) LONDON, May 30. The Danzig .correspondent of the “Times” says Poland has rejected Danzig’s demand for the withdrawal Of Polish officials involved in the incident at Kalthof on May 21. in which a Nazi named Gruebner was killed. “NO SPECIAL MISSION.” COMMISSIONER’S RETURN. DANZIG, May 30. The High Commissioner of the League of Nations for Danzig, Herr Burckhardt. saw the President of the Danzig Senate, Herr Greisler. and the Nazi leader in the Free City, Herr Foerster, and assured them that his return was not for the reason of “any special mission," but merely to carry on his work.
