INTER-HOUSE ASSOCIATION. BALANCE-SHEET presented. The audited statement of accounts covering the Inter-House sports meeting and dance held earlier in the year was presented at a meeting of the committee of the Wairarapa InterHouse Association held last night. Mr G. Daubney presided. After meeting all expenses and making a donation of £44 11s to the girls’ teams by way of reducing the cost of uniforms, a substantial credit balance is in hand. Plans will be considered later for extending the activities of the association and establishing a more permanent form of organisation. An application was received from the Wairarapa R.S.A. for assistance at the “Paddy’s Market” to be held in the Municipal Hall on Friday, July 9, in aid of the R.S.A. fund for entertaining the Australian "Diggers” on their visit to New Zealand next year. It was decided that efforts be made to secure a number of teams of girls to compete in ball games as an attraction at the “Paddy’s Market” and a sub-committee was set up to arrange details with the R.S.A. In accordance with a resolution passed at one of the first general meetings at the time of formation of the association, draft rules were finally approved by the committee for presentation at a special general meeting to be called for Thursday, June 15. at the "Times-Age” Office. Business houses will be asked to send three delegates to the meeting, the business of which will be to receive the report and statement of accounts of activities to date, to consider the question of incorporation and the adoption of formal rules, and to decide upon the future programme of the Association.
