In his eighty-second year, Mr John Griffiths died recently at St Clair, Dunedin. At the .age of 18 years, Mr Griffiths came to New Zealand with his parents on the Lady Jocelyn. His 62 years' unbroken period of residence in New Zealand was spent in Dunedin and the Upper Clutha Valley. He was married 53 years ago to Miss Helen Mills. He is survived by his wife and six children.
