A new decree restricts the maximum area of land which peasant members of collective farms may own privately to two acres and a half. The decree, which aims at eliminating haphazard individual faiming, ob liges collective farmers to work 80 days a year for the collectives m southern districts, and 60 days a year in northern districts, otherwise they will be expelled. ______
