GETTING TOGETHER
ITALY AND GERMANY AIR FORCE CO-ORDINATION. OTHER INSTANCES OF CONTACT. By Telegraph—Press Association— Copyright. LONDON, May 28. “The Times” Rome correspondent says Signor Mussolini, Herr Milch and Signor Valle. German and Italian Air Under-Secretaries, have agreed to unify the types of aeroplanes of each country to enable an interchange of pilots, machines, arms and bombs. Germany is understood to have promised to supply Italy with steel for aircraft production. A plan laid down in 1937 for expansion of the Italian Air Force is incomplete owing to Spanish war requirements, but pilots, ground staffs, aerodromes and barracks are not lacking. Another instance of German and Italian contact was the inauguration of an ossuary at Tolmino containing the remains of Germans who fell in the Great War. German ex-Service men were specially present. Arrangements are being completed for an interchange of Italian and German farmers.
