Mrs C. M. Wright, of Masterton, was a weekend visitor to Wellington. Miss W. Wharton, of Springlands, has been appointed infant mistress at the Featherston School.
The wedding of Miss Edna McLean, of Carterton. and Mr J. Todd, of Matarawa, will be celebrated at Carterton on Monday next.
On Thursday night a wedding of considerable interest to the Wairarapa will take place at Carterton, when Miss Betty Roydhouse will be married to Mr Jury, of Ponatahi.
A new arrival in Masterton is Mrs R. E. Kember, nee Miss O. Louden, of Rotorua, who was recently married to Mr R. E. Kember. of the staff of Messrs Dalgety and Co., Ltd., Masterton.
Mrs J. Fisher and Miss J. Anderson were the hostesses at the party held at the residence of Mrs J. Fisher, Clareville, on Saturday afternoon, in honour of Miss Edna McLean. The two competitions held were won by Miss Lois McLean'and Miss M. Thompson, respectively.
