GATHERING AT PONGAROA

WEEK-END PARTY. (“Times-Age” Special.) A delightful weekend party was given by Mr and Mrs A. J. Sedcole at their home, “Glencoe,” Pongaroa. The rooms were artistically decorated with lovely pink chrysanthemums and berries in scarlet and autumn tints. Mrs Sedcole received her guests wearing a model frock of petrol blue. She was assisted in entertaining the guests by her sister, Miss Beth Webley, who received them in a smart frock of navy and white georgette. Among the guests were Mr and Mrs Marty Renner, Mr and Mrs Montague Neives, Mr and Miss Harton, Mr Dick C.roft, and Mr Jack O’Leary, Wellington, Miss . Joyce Hands, Palmerston North, Mr and Mrs J. Riddell, Pongaroa. Mr and Mrs Finley Chatfield and Mr Peter Gibbons, Waione, Mr and Mrs Cyril Elinore, Miss M. O’-Hara-Smith, Miss M. Watson, Miss Merle Hill, and Mr R. Autcliff, Dannevirke.
