The averages for May of cows tested by the Wairarapa Herd Testing Association are as follow:— Greytown No 1 Group: Cows under test 464; monthly group average, 2641 b milk, 15.11 b fat; highest herd average, 21 cows, 241 b fat; highest cow, 631 b fat. Greytown No 2 Group: Cows under test 439; monthly group average. 2351 b milk, 12.81 b fat; highest herd average, 6 cows, 271 b fat; highest cow 361 b fat. Gladstone Group: Cows under test 639; ' monthly group average, 2771 b milk. 16.51 b fat; highest herd average, 47 cows, 221 b fat: highest cow 531 b fat. Featherston Group: Cows under test 346; monthly group average, 2781 b milk 15.21 b fat: highest herd average, 47 cows, 181 b fat; highest cow, 421 b fat. Martinborough Group: Cows under test 91; monthly group average, 3111 b milk. 16.61 b fat: highest herd average, 40 cows, 181 b fat; highest cow, 351 b fat. Pahautea Group: Cows under test 170; monthly group average 2201 b milk, 15.1 Tb fat; highest herd average, 39 cows, 191 b fat: highest cow. 321 b fat. Association summary (figures for corresponding period of 1937-38 in parentheses): Cows under test 2,149 (4,877); monthly association average, 2621 b milk (3461 b milk), 15.11 b fat <l6lb fat); Highest herd average, 6 cows, 271 b fat (64 cows, 321 b fat); highest cow, 631 b fat (741 b fat).
