GOLF TOURNAMENT
MASTERTON CLUB'S FIXTURE. . Golfers “are reminded that the annual tournament of the Masterton Golf Club will commence on Saturday next. June 3. As only one qualifying round will be played, competitors will be able to start on Saturday afternoon and play right through every event. This tournament always brings together a number of the leading players of New Zealand and it affords aspiring young golfers a wonderful opportunity of testing their skill against these seasoned players. With such players as R. F. Kitto, A. R. Kitto, J. L. Black, D. Graham, J. P. Hornabrook, and T. H. Horton already in the field, this year’s tournament promises to be one of the most successful yet held by the Masterton Club. The course is now in excellent order, and given fine weather competitors will be assured of three days of firstclass playing conditions. In connection with the ' tournament a cabaret will be held at the clubhouse on Saturday night, June 3, commencing at 8 o'clock. An excellent orchestra has been obtained and all golfers are cordially invited to be present. The admission charge is 3s per head.
