Paul Reynaud in a broadcast said France had now no short-term loans abroad. He signed contracts yesterday with Dutch and Swiss banks, converting six months’ borrowings into a six-year loan. France’s new internal loan just closed had proved one of the greatest successes since 1928. The treasury will not appear on the capital market as a borrower for a considerable time. The economic position was improving simultaneously with the financial position.
