ROAD CYCLING
SATURDAY’S EVENT. HANDICAPS DECLARED. The Wairarapa Amateur Cycling Club’s race on Saturday will be over a distance of 28 miles, the course being from Fly and Young’s corner, Bannister Street to Te Whiti and Carterton, returning via main north road and finishing opposite the Central School in Queen Street. The race will commence at 2.30 p.m. sharp. The following are the handicaps:— R. Copp, K. Woollett, scr.; G. Goodin, J. Brader, Imin.; L. Green, M. Graham, 2min.; C. Gourlay, J. MacAleice, B. Dooling, 2min. 30secs.: A. Morris, E. Lefort, 6min. 15secs.; K. Gilbert, D. Mayers, 7min. 15secs.
