Mr H. M. Boddington reports that 34 points of rain fell at Solway during the 24 hours ended 9 a.m. today. Weather fore-cast: Moderate to strong south-west to southerly winds, reaching gale force at times in some exposed positions: weather overcast with further rain, but probably gradually improving; temperatures cold.
