STAINS ON GARMENTS
HOW TO REMOVE THEM.
Machine grease can be removed by washing the garment in cool rainwater and soda. For wheel grease, tar, turpentine, or blood-stains apply kerosene.
Mildew can be removed by putting on salt and lemon juice and placing the garment in the sun to dry. Repeat if necessary. Buttermilk is also good to’ use for mildew. Iron rust can be removed with lemon, salt, and starch. Lay the garment in the sun. Fresh ink can be removed by applying milk and then washing. For grassstains rub in molasses and wash.
