Mrs K. McLaren, Hinakura, is a visitor to Masterton. Mrs F. Jones, of Waitara, is a visitor to Masterton. Miss B. I. Harrington, of Hukanui, is on a holiday at Apiti. Miss D. Collision, of Napier, is the guest of Mrs J. W. Greaves, Pahiatua. Miss H. Card and Miss E. Card, Featherston, are visitors to Wellington. Miss E. Gibson, of Ballance, has returned home after a motor trip to the Waikato. Mrs C. W. Gosling, of Pahiatua, has Miss Buchanan, of Auckland, as her guest. Mrs T. A. Strahan has returned to Apiti after having been the guest of Mrs C. Udy, Hukanui. Mrs J. Diamond, of Coonoor, who has been on a visit to Taumarunui and Auckland, has returned home. Miss B. Roydhouse, of Carterton, has been the guest of honour at a number of parties in Carterton lately, given by her friends in honour of her approaching marriage, The hostesses have been Mrs H. M., B. and Miss Trapp, Miss Skelley, Mrs R. N. Campbell and Sister Ann Kelly, Mrs Howard E. Jackson and Mrs R. Forbes, and Miss Phyllis Skey. Tire gatherings have taken the form of ’‘gift” parties, and the bride-to-be has received many valuable and useful articles.
