BY FATHER OF DIONNE QUINTUPLETS WRIT ISSUED AGAINST DR DAFOE. ALLEGED LAMPOONING. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright. NORTH BAY (Ontario), May 23. Supreme Court writ has been obtained by Mr Oliva Dionne, father of the quintuplets, against Dr Dafoe, their doctor, alleging that he, his wife and the quintuplets were held up to ridicule and lampooned by the physician during the latter’s initiation into a luncheon club in New York recently, at which Dr Dafoe appeared in a long white apron inscribed “Doctor of Litters” and carried a satchel labelled “Mass Delivery.” The writ was not served till after the presentation of the quintuplets to the King and Queen in Toronto, in order to avoid embarrassment to their Majesties. Mr Dionne’s attorney explained that his client did not want damages, only a apology.
