SILVER KING

FAMOUS CANINE STAR. Silver King, the dog star, is something of an animal prodigy. Grandson of Strongheart, famous in America as one of the most intelligent dogs on record, Silver King has for many years aided scientists in their researches into the canine mentality. In some recent "intelligence quotient” tests at Columbia University the dog was found to understand the meaning of 285 different words ' and nearly as many hand signals, which, incidentally, have to be used by Trainer Arthur Butler when the dog appears in a talking picture. Iln addition, Silver King has done service as a policeman in guiding school children across busy roads, and is an honorary member of the police departments ’ of seventy-five United States cities.
