Firstly, “Mr Moto’s Last Warning,” an excellent mystery featuring Peter Lorre, Ricardo Cortez, Virginia Field, John Carradine, George Sanders; secondly, a bright hilarious comedy that is different, “Thanks For Everything,” featuring Adolphe Menjou, Jack Oakie, Jack Haley, Arleen Whalen, Tony Martin, Binnie Barnes. FRIDAY, June 2: Shirley Temple, the world’s darling, comes once again, bringing you an evening’s excellent entertainment in her latest and greatest film. “Just Around the Corner.” COSY.. TOMORROW: “Old Corral,” with the world’s most popular star, Gene Autry, and Smiley Burnette, Hope Mannering, Lon Chaney Junr., the Sons of the Pioneers, and John Bradford. “Last Warning” (a Crime Club story) with Preston Foster, Frank Jenks, Kay Linaker, E. E. Clive, Joyce Compton and Ray Parker. MAY 30— JUNE 1: “Nancy Steele is Missing,” featuring Victor McLaglen, Peter Lorre, June Lang, Robert Kent, Walter Connolly, John Carradine and Jane Darwell. “Thank You Jeeves,” P. G. Wodehouse’s funniest character, starring Arthur Teacher, supported by David Niven, Virginia Field, Colin Tapley, Lester Mathews and Willie Best. REGENT. TONIGHT: “Manhattan Melodrama,” featuring Clark Gable, Myrna Loy and William Powell. In the cast is also Leo Carrillo, Isabel Jewell, Nat Pendleton and Noel Madison. Specially selected supports. MAY 27 —JUNE 2: “Sweethearts,” starring Jeanette MacDonald and Nelson Eddy, ably supported by Frank Morgan, Florence Rice, Mischa Auer, Ray Bolger, Herman Bing and Reginald Gardner. Short subjects include Regent News, and “City of Little Men,”’a heart-warming story of Boy’s Town, founded by a priest who believed there is no such thing as a bad boy.
JUNE 3—7: “If I Were King,” with Ronald Colman as Francois Villon. In the cast are Frances Dee, Basil Rathbone, Ellen Drew, Colin Tapley, Henry Wilcoxon, Ralph Forbes, John Milj an and May Beatty. The featurettes include Paramount Pictorial (novelty), “Goonland” (Popeye cartoon), and “Moments of Charm” (Cinesound Colour Headliner).
